The ThunderKatz (o8o, Ginger, Mel, Jon Jr, Benji Beck, and Juno) won BMI’s best unsigned band contest in 2006, judged by celebrities like Lil’ John and Ludacris. Their brand of music is influenced by everything from hip-hop to jazz to hardcore rock to- well- anything that can make a groove. Thunderkatz is not only a band hailing from Atlanta, Georgia , but a Movement, and Moreover a Lifestyle. Thunderkatz (aka T!Katz) will release their debut album, entitled "19Hundred80Something" via Irv Gotti’s Murder Inc, WallStreet, & Universal Motown Records in late 2008/early 2009. Production and writing credits will mostly come from the band members themselves, as well as some appearances from rap duo Rock City (R.City). On top of their own album, T!Katz are planning on releasing a mixtape that will serve as a sampler for the upcoming album.
