This week, Lloyd announced the release date for his upcoming project Like Me: The Young Goldie EP. The 8-song EP will be available for FREE download exclusively at www.YoungGoldie.com on Monday, December 14th. A host of artist including Lil Wayne, Drake, Bun-B, Nicki Minaj, J. Holiday, Mack Maine, and Juelz Santana all lend their support to the project, along with a collection of up & coming and established producers like J$Mill, Eric Hudson, Lil C, The Runners, and Cool & Dre.
The EP will be released through Lloyd’s own company Young Goldie Music as a digital exclusive, with plans for physical in-store copies in January. Of the project, Lloyd says, “This is me basically doing things my way. It’s the soundtrack of my independence... my first release since leaving The Inc.” The 23 years old star remains a free agent, enjoying his independence for the time being, but is currently negotiating with labels to distribute his 4th studio album due out in 2010.
