Miguel earns 5 Grammy Nominations, Luke James for "I Want You", and Frank Ocean with 6

Franc Ocean carries the R&B , Miguel with 5 Grammy Nominations, and surprisingly Luke James was on the list for "Best R&B Performance" for "I Want You" (the lead track off our first #Discovery mixtape). It's a close call for some of the nomination fields but we highlighted the ones we think should win are going to win.

The 55th Annual GRAMMY Awards will be held on Sunday, February 10th at The Staples Center in Los Angeles
And will be broadcast live on CBS @ 8p.m. (ET/PT)

R&B FIELD
Best R&B Performance:
"Thank You" — Estelle
"Gonna Be Alright (F.T.B.)" — Robert Glasper Experiment Featuring Ledisi
"I Want You" — Luke James
"Adorn" — Miguel
"Climax" — Usher

Luke James HAS to win this one! There closest match would be Miguel "Adorn". Why is Usher even nominated? *sigh*

Best Urban Contemporary Album
Fortune — Chris Brown
Kaleidoscope Dream — Miguel
Channel Orange — Frank Ocean

Sorry Frank.. Miguel outdid you on this one!

Best R&B Album:
Black Radio — Robert Glasper Experiment
Back To Love — Anthony Hamilton
Write Me Back — R. Kelly
Beautiful Surprise — Tamia
Open Invitation — Tyrese

R. Kelly kept it real.. no wacky dance/pop/rnb radio crap..

GENERAL FIELD
Album Of The Year:
El Camino — The Black Keys
Some Nights — FUN.
Babel — Mumford & Sons
Channel Orange — Frank Ocean
Blunderbuss — Jack White

HANDS DOWN! we had that whole album on repeat for weeks!

Record Of The Year:

"Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)" — Kelly Clarkson
"We Are Young" — FUN. Featuring Janelle Monáe
"Somebody That I Used To Know" — Gotye Featuring Kimbra

"We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" — Taylor Swift

A tie from us between Gotye and Frank Ocean.. we couldn't pick

Best New Artist:
Alabama Shakes
FUN.
Hunter Hayes

The Lumineers
Frank Ocean

Aww man.. we featured Hunter Hayes back in 2011 even though he was clearly not R&B driven. FUN. had a great year with the release of their first major album.. and recently Frank Ocean has been causing tidal waves in the industry

Song Of The Year:
"The A Team" — Ed Sheeran, songwriter (Ed Sheeran)
"Adorn" — Miguel Pimentel, songwriter (Miguel)
"Call Me Maybe" — Tavish Crowe, Carly Rae Jepsen & Josh Ramsay, songwriters (Carly Rae Jepsen)

songwriters (Kelly Clarkson)
"We Are Young" — Jack Antonoff, Jeff Bhasker, Andrew Dost & Nate Ruess, songwriters (FUN. Featuring
Janelle Monáe)

It just has to be Miguel in this category.. but Ed Sheeran might steal this one if he has his way.
