North Carolina native Kenny Wesley has been gathering attention with his soulful, jazz infused vocals, with many acclaimed appearances, including opening for the likes of Anthony David and Stephanie Mills. This multi-talented singer/songwriter, he speaks three languages, began piano lessons at age eight, and says that his influences range from the "ring of the telephone that I would harmonize with as a child, all the way to Michael Jackson and Parliament-Funkadelic". He is currently working on an album, the 'Real Thing', with L.A. producer Noah Lifschey, and is hoping that "this project brings a ray of hope to the urban side of things" (see below for more of his thoughts). Here he gives a fantastically unique rendition of Michael Jackson's 'Rock With You'.
